In obedience to your Church, we live this special moment of grace for the Regnum Christi Movement, in which the assemblies and chapter gather. We feel called to encounter, through them, the channels of an authentic renewal, which is born from a desire for holiness and of the passion to evangelize.
The journey is founded in God and borne of grace and virtue. I know that "where sin occurs, grace abounds the more," but when the sin is not faced, dissected, or even acknowledged, it will be hard to wrest from God special graces. Most Catholic saints began with beating their breasts, and focusing on their unworthiness. This group founds its mission on its great virtues and singular desires. Despite the fact that "singlemindedness" has masked all sorts of horror, it is the rock on which they stand, looking forward.
Regardless, the key point concerning the 3gf/m's is this point in a conference by Jesuit Father Ghirlanda. After explaining the basic consecration intrinsic to Baptism, he praises the evangelical counsels, which are a signpost to heaven and a tonic to a world awash in sin. But, he notes:
(…) If one takes on the evangelical counsels in associations or movements, the matter of the commitments in terms of poverty and obedience must be clearly expressed in the Statutes, approved by the ecclesiastical authority, and not simply in the internal rules. This is for a better guarantee of the conscience, especially if the counsels have been taken by vow. (…)
Vows. Absent from the RC "consecrated life," and thus surely an important topic in the GA. Let's join them in prayer and follow closely.
